Side note: If you type view at the end of the https address up above you will see my blog in a cool new setting and its so much easier to navigate around it. So cool.
Last weekend the boys wore their pajamas inside out, flushed an ice cube down the toilet, and slept with a spoon under their pillow in hopes that when they woke up the next morning there would be snow.
It didn't work.
But this weekend they didn't do any of that mumbo jumbo and it snowed 4 inches. Nate was dressed and out the door as soon as he could get his snow pants on. They quickly made their way to the front yard to start shoveling the walks. They then thought it would be a good idea to shovel our neighbors driveway too.

Me and Ben opted to stay inside and stay toasty warm and make a delicious breakfast for the boys for when they got done outside. Ben loves his syrup.
Then we all packed up and went to our favorite park to go sledding. We love this place because it has a warming hut to sit by a fire and relax while others sled up on the hill. Me and Ben hung out there most of the time since Ben was sick with a cold.
Mack loved sledding and Ry said he had a great time. Nate loved it until he got a bunch of snow in his face and then he was done after that.
Our good friends joined us and had an awesome tube that zoomed down the hill. Jack had the time of his life on it.
The sledding hill. That building in the distance is where I was. And at the bottom of the hill is the fish pond that the boys always fish in. During the winter the pond freezes over and you can go ice skating.
That night we had our friends over for pizza and watched a movie. The men went off to a church meeting. We ate caramel popcorn and then we got a surprise visitor. Michie showed up with a plate of brownies and a bag full of Toy Story toys she had bought years ago with happy meals. It was almost a complete set.
The boys were in heaven.
As I sat at my kitchen table eating popcorn talking to my good friends I was overwhelmed with joy and gratitude. Friends are definitely our angels on Earth and a huge blessing in my life. I was also grateful for a fun filled day with my family. Doesn't get better than that. So glad it finally decided to snow.

I typed View in and it's pretty cool! How'd you do it? Gotta say, I'm not jealous of your snowy weather. I don't like to be cold. A true west coast girl I guess! Miss you Melissa!
The page looks good! The snow looks so fun. Snow has grown on me since I have kids. They make everything funner, don't they? Well, not everything. But snow, yes. :)
